This is the fat labrador "Minni" when she weighed a whopping 60kg!!!!
Thankfully, this story ends with a happy ending because her new owner managed to help her lose all the weight.
Minni is now a happy normal sized dog with a loving owner.
Left - Minni now, as a normal dog
Below - Minni as a fat dog
Minni may have been one of the fattest dogs ever but she bounced back.

I wonder how can I feed that kind of dog :)
ReplyDeleteWOW! its really huge.. good thing he lose weight. it looks like a pig. Its good to hear he has a new owner who takes care of his diet. thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteAt first I was really confuse if it was really a DOG or Hogzilla.. I never imagined that a dog like that can weight and look that much.. but hey look on the bright side, Bigger dogs are very huggable enough. Thanks for the share.. I really enjoyed and was amazed!
ReplyDeleteKindly let us know how you were able to shed so much weight.
ReplyDeleteLove dogs their lovele
DeleteGood to see that he lost weight
DeleteAmazing! It seems that this is not anymore! It's really huge.I couldn't imagined how the owner manage to help this dog in losing weight! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIf being fat or obese won't be bad to all of the pets, I want them to stay huge and fat as they were. But anyways, as they say, too much of something is harmful. Thanks for sharing! Had a wonderful time watching those pictures and was also amazed by your perseverance on how you managed to have your pet shed that much weight. God Bless!
ReplyDeleteA very pampered dog i suppose. Good to know she's in her normal weight now. It's not safe also for a dog to be that big. Cheers to all dog lovers!
ReplyDelete:( I don't think it's good to publicize these things, as it might cause fame-hungry dog owners to get competitive. (I realize I'm not helping the problem by commenting, but still)
ReplyDeleteI will be afraid to touch or to come closer to that very fat dog if he is still that fat but, thanks to the new owner for taking good care of Minni and for helping him lose weight.
ReplyDeleteI have a neighbor with a lab that size. I get aggravated every time I see it. In my opinion, when a person is responsible for the well-being of a dog, it is their responsibility to make sure the dog is properly exercised and eats the right amount of the right types of food. Okay, I'll get off my soap box now.
ReplyDeleteSad, to see these pics of these dogs, one actually looks like a pig. Glad Minni lost the weight! Thanks for sharing, this shows how important it is to keep the pet's weight under control!
ReplyDeleteIt's a good news that Minni was able to reduce her size. Thanks for her new owner. She did a great thing to help Minni lost several pounds of weight. This story will serve as a wake up call to dog owners. Let not your dog get big or bigger like in the displayed picture. Hope that you will be responsible for the health of your pets.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! That is such a huge and really cuddly dog. But good thing she loose weight. She looks more beautiful in her present looks. Minni's fur became more brighter than before. Thanks for sharing this one.
ReplyDeleteWow! That dog was really very fat. Thanks God Minni looks normal now. Actually, she looks cuddlier now. Don't ever go fat again Minni. :)
ReplyDeleteGood to know that Minni had lose weight. She look so cute when she is fat but I think it is better that she became a normal weighing dog. It would enable her to have an active life. She can run fast like other labrador dogs do.
ReplyDeleteThat is a huge dog! Good thing that the new owner of Minnie manage to help her lose weight. It is much better that she is now a normal sized dog. It is important for pet owners to take care of their pet's health.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the previous comments. Excess feeding is just cruel. Minni is better looking after all that lost weight. At least now, she can move by herself and experience running, as is normal to all dogs.
ReplyDeleteSomeone should do the show 'Biggest Loser' for dogs!
ReplyDeleteIs this really a dog? It's very huge!Good thing that he had lose weight and he had a new owner. As pet owner we have the responsibility to feed and take good care of our pet but it does not necessarily mean that we just allow them to be as huge just like "minnie" before. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWow! Really huge dog! Never seen before like that one.I think she eats a lot and that is too expensive if she eat too much. But the very good thing here is that she lose weight. But I think If I have that kind of dog I will hug her always. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis is good news for me! I know we must take good care of our pets but not to the extreme point just like Minni that as I understood was over-fed. It's a good thing that Minni lose weight so she can live normally already. Minni can have fun already playing and going anywhere because she can move easier with her weight now. I'm happy for you Minni!
ReplyDeleteReally a huge dog!As pet owner we also have the responsibility to love, feed and take good care of our pets.We should not allow them to be as huge just like the dog in the picture above. It seems that he can't move and breath anymore because of too much weight.Good thing the new owner was able to help this dog to lose weight. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks to new owner who managed to help her lose all the weight. I am a dog owner and think if Dog food is managed and balance then this problem will not generate. There is number of dog lover and dog owner is troubling for over weight of their dog and due to this now going for Natural Dog Food.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the dog went through a very tight Fitness and Diet program.
ReplyDeleteI am happy for Minni that she was able to lose weight. It must be really hard moving around with such huge body weight. Luckily, she has a new owner now who cared for her and really worked hard on helping her to get back to her normal size.
ReplyDeleteGlade to know that this dog has a new owner. with that kind of weight it makes me wander if the dog is comfortable.
ReplyDeleteIt is so important not to let those big eyes get the best of you.
ReplyDeleteSure you love them and want to spoil them. But you can spoil them to death!
Labradors especially. The extra weight will start to creep up and before you know it, trouble.
Wasn't Minnie pregnant when this picture was taken? Nevertheless, it sure is good that she has lost weight and got to her ideal size again. She must have had very hard time moving around with such heavy baggage.
ReplyDeleteGood to know that Minni had lose weight. She look so cute when she is fat but I think it is better that she became a normal weighing dog. It would enable her to have an active life. She can run fast like other labrador dogs do.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear about that achievement. I appreciate to have read over on this one.
ReplyDeleteWow, she looked like a pig back then! I could imagine how hard it was for her to move around with that kind of weight. Congrats to her owner! She really did a great job on Minnie.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great dog Minnie is! Imagine she had to undergo a strict diet in order to get back to her normal size. Her owner should be commended for this. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteWay to go! What a great story!
ReplyDeleteMini is an amazing dog. I am glad the new owner was able to help get her healthy. Another way to help a dog lose weight is to get a cat for them to chase around. Works great for my Yellow Lab.
ReplyDeleteWow, that picture is hard to look at. I am so very glad that he was able to lose the weight. How did the owner get Minni to loose the weight? Dogs biggest loser? har har. Thanks for sharing this story!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see the dog is back to proper weight. But it's disgusting to see that people let their pets get into this condition. It's an excellent example of poor dog ownership.
ReplyDeleteWow! I wonder how she lost all that weight...how much her owners cut her food down by, and what exercises they had her do. She'll be able to enjoy running around and playing so much more at her new lower weight.
ReplyDeleteIt's not an easy feat to make a pet lose that weight. It will take hard discipline both for the owner and the dog. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletethats my dog your commenting on :P
ReplyDeleteWhat did he make her do? What did he feed her to lose weight?
ReplyDeleteThankfully i have a great dane….i was going to get a German shepherd but then went for the great dane…and he doesn’t eat poop….so now i have i know the reasons why some dogs eat poop. Thanks for the post. It really enlightened me.
ReplyDeleteOMG...!!! :O
ReplyDeleteits more then my weight..!!!
Poor dog, hope that he's ok now! Cause it is so hard to make a pet lose weight! Too much is too much for sure!
ReplyDeleteOMG those dogs are so overweight! Poor babies they need a serious diet
ReplyDeleteThat image was tough to take in at first, so pleased that the weight has been shed. Minni looks a lot healthier which is really pleasing to see.
ReplyDeletewith a lab, the last thing you want to do is put as much food infront of it that it will eat. they have no off switch. glad this guys back on the way to recovery!
ReplyDeleteWow..really huge dog..i wonder how could a dog became so overweight.poor dog needs a serious diet to loss some weight.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Fat Dog! When I was a kid we stayed at a bed and breakfast and they had a cat that was so fat it couldn't walk at all. It would crwal. But the owner thought it was funny. I remember her feeding him bacon off the breakfast table
ReplyDeleteThat couldn't have been healthy - poor puppy! I'm glad the new owner got her back to a normal size, she looks much healthier and happier now.
ReplyDeleteAmazing dog you have here. Glad to have able to read over on this post. Be back for more review.
ReplyDeleteIf I didnt know better, I would swear that all of these dogs are over fed and under walked. In the wild this would never happen .. shame on the owners, shame.
ReplyDeleteI think it's cruel to overfeed a dog by that much. I wonder what goes through a owners mind as they see there dog getting dehabilitatingly huge. I am glad that the new owner fixed the problem!
ReplyDeleteAs her owner I can say she has lost more weight since that picture and now is just like my other Labs. She does however suffer with her hip caused by carrying all that weight for so long.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Thank you for stopping by Gary. I wish Minni well and hope her hip does not cause her too much pain.
ReplyDeleteA happy ending for a lovely animal!

hi daddy :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a really positive post. It is so easy for some owners to over feed their dogs and cause many medical conditions. True love is keeping your dog trim and giving them lots of walks, discipline and love.
ReplyDeleteMakes you wonder how a dog gets to that size without anyone noticing? Is it learning to stand on stools and open cooky jars too?
ReplyDeleteI guess instant lose weight for fat dogs is not so healthy at all. Thanks so much for sharing some ideal dog exercise.
ReplyDeleteIt is the first time that i saw a fat dog. I'm quite surprised.
ReplyDeleteSadly mos or the damage is already done. Downsizing wont reduce organ damage ...
ReplyDeleteoh, hi, i like all dog, and fat dog :D
ReplyDeleteYou know, a raw diet of meat, where you watch how much you feed your dog, and you trim the fat is the best way to slimming!
ReplyDeletei wish i had a dog like this HUGE.... =)
ReplyDeleteWOW! its really huge.. good thing he lose weight. it looks like a pig. Its good to hear he has a new owner who takes care of his diet. thanks for sharing this.
